We found standing water under the foundation...

Yep. That's right. This past Saturday morning Stephen found out that there was standing water sloshing around under the insulation on the back side of the tiny house. All we can figure is that with all the rain we had the week before, it was coming in under the wheel well and filling up in the TPO. It was a little bit devastating, because this was exactly what we were trying to avoid in building a new house and trying to get away from mold. Thankfully, we had bought insulation that is mold prohibitive, so the insulation was only wet where it touched the water, and it was not wicking it up into the other parts of the insulation.

So Stephen cut the TPO and we pulled out all of the wet insulation.

Where the water must have been getting in at

Sunday we put ZIP tape over this area trying to seal it as best we could to keep it safe from the rain that came during the middle of the night. Thankfully it worked, because this morning it was all dry underneath and we couldn't find any leakage anywhere else in the tiny house.

If only that was the only setback we experienced over the weekend...

The other big project was to finish the tongue and groove inside, and all of that was going well, until they got to the windows in the kitchen and the window in the loft. There were two separate times that they found out that for some reason the boards were no longer meeting up. They had no idea why, so around midday Saturday, they had to take down all the work that they had done Friday and figure out what had happened. Basically all the work they did Friday was now undone, plus we had standing water under the house. Talk about a frustrating day!!

The plan was to also make a really good head start on putting the cork on the outside of the tiny house. Because of all of the hiccups, of course that did not happen either. They did make some progress, though, and now one of the side walls is completely done, and part of the back wall has cork on it!

They did end up getting all of the tongue and groove in the interior, except for the bathroom walls! (It just took staying up until 11 pm Saturday night...)

The light switches and outlets are also in, and temporary light bulbs are also screwed in! So while we did make progress, it just wasn't as much as we had hoped for. But we are SO thankful that we caught the water when we did! It would have been so bad if we hadn't noticed it and it had stayed there long enough to get moldy. We are going to spray the wood that was next to the water with Mold Control before taping the cut back up, so hopefully that will guarantee that we will not have an issue later on because of this.

The one other set back we experienced was that Stephen noticed that the jack right by where the standing water was is crooked. So he plans on tackling that this week to see if he can get that to straighten back up.

On a health note, Stephen is still staying pretty exhausted. It's hard to know how much of that is because he's been working long hours (staying up on average until 11 pm) every weekend working on the tiny house, and how much of it is him not improving. He is now doing hyperbarics three times a week instead of five, and doing a depth that is best for neurological improvement. We're hoping that will help his brain fog and cognitive issues. We have also recently found out about a product that is made with zeolite, that is extremely helpful for detoxing heavy metals, mold, radiation, and lots of other things. We are fairly certain that he does have heavy metal toxicity. He had done a heavy metals test during our year with Dr. Randy, but his test results came back fairly low. We are thinking that if he was in a moldy environment, his body wasn't going to let any toxins out. So it's probable that none of the heavy metals came out. What makes the zeolite special is it's molecular structure, and the fact that it is positively charged. Therefore, it attracts the negatively charged metals, toxins, etc. and captures it and doesn't let it go because of the chain-like structure. We are thinking about seeing if this zeolite product helps him improve, and we're praying that it does!
