It's starting to look like a real house!

Thankfully, the coat of real paint went on much smoother than the primer. My dad used a smaller spray nozzle and hit corners and windows first and then went back and did the walls so that the smaller areas had time to dry.

Next up went our bed frame! And I am SO happy to announce that we are officially sleeping in our tiny house!!! I can't tell you how good it feels to be back in our tiny house and have a permanent place to sleep.

Ruth's bed is built and on caster wheels, so now we just need to purchase her mattress and her bed will be good to go! Right now, she's just sleeping on some cushions by our bed.

The exterior is also finally finished! We just still need to close up the place underneath the house where the standing water was.

So the real story starts when Stephen started working on the bathroom. Basically, he hoped to have the toilet and sink almost finished in a day. But then we found out that the sink was put down too low, and the p-trap was going to hit the back of the toilet. The holes also weren't big enough on the sink for the hardware (That came with the sink) to go into. Then, the toilet was too close to the wall, and we weren't sure that it was going to work. So basically all day last Friday was trying to figure out these issues. My dad had to rig some more pipes so the sink could be high enough for the p-trap. They got the sink up on the wall, and Stephen decided to test the holding power of the wall, because Ruth will most likely grabbing on to it as she climbs up to wash hands/brush teeth. Annnd, it came off the wall.... So needless to say, Stephen had a frustrating day!

The last problem we ran into was finding out that our water pressure is basically zero. Where the water should be shooting out, it's a nice little stream. Stephen called the water department, and they came out to look it over. They thought they had it fixed, but when we turned on the shower and then tried to turn anything else on, the pressure went to basically zero. So not good news. We're really hoping that it's something outside of the house, and not in the plumbing inside.

But the good news is that it's Monday, and the toilet and sink are in place. Not working yet, but they are there! Today is hopefully working on getting cabinets installed in the kitchen!

I love walking in to see paint on the walls, a bed in place, and the floors exposed every day. I can't wait to start decorating!!
